What makes this church such a great place to experience God? It’s all about people! First Baptist Church of Rolling Hills is the church in Rolling Hills where people matter more and Jesus matters most. Our desire is to include you and your family in this fellowship of faith. That’s why our worship celebrations and teaching aren’t stuffy or formal—they’re casual and authentic to meet you where you are.
What do people believe at First Baptist Church of Rolling Hills? First and foremost, we believe in the God who has been revealed in Jesus Christ, as he has been made known to us in the Scriptures. By "Scriptures," we mean the sixty-six ancient writings that are commonly known as "the Bible." The Bible is our first and final authority. We understand the Bible to teach ...
... that there is one God revealed to humanity in the three persons of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit;
... that we were created for relationship with God;
... that our failures to follow God’s way have separated us from perfect fellowship with God; and,
... that it is only through trusting and following Jesus Christ that this relationship can be restored.

How do I join First Baptist Church of Rolling Hills? First off, getting people to join this church is not our number-one priority. Guiding people to follow Jesus is our first priority. So, our first concern is, “Have you entrusted your life to Jesus Christ?” If you’re uncertain about this, please speak with a pastor, deacon, or Connection Group leader as soon as possible. We’d be glad to show you, from the Bible, how to become a follower of Jesus. If you’ve already entrusted your life to Jesus, you can join this church in one of two ways:
- You may, as the outward sign of your inner faith in Jesus, be baptized in the same way as the earliest Christians—by being immersed in water in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (see Matthew 28:19).
- If you’ve already been baptized in a church of “like faith and order”— a congregation that believes people are saved by God’s grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ and that practices baptism by immersion in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as an outward sign of inward faith—you may simply transfer your membership from that church to this one. Before serving in any leadership capacity, you may be asked to take a class that explains certain, essential biblical beliefs.
If you desire to join this church or if you have any other needs, please come to the front of the Worship Center during the invitation that follows the Life-Message in one of our morning worship celebrations. We’d be glad to talk with you, pray with you, or anything else that might serve your spiritual needs.
What’s expected of members at First Baptist Church of Rolling Hills? Here’s a summary of what we understand the Scriptures to teach about how followers of Jesus should respond to one another …
* I will protect the unity of my church by actively loving other members, by refusing to gossip, and by following the pastors’ leadership (Rom. 15:5, 19; 1 Pet. 1:22; Eph. 4:29; Heb. 13:17).
* I will share the responsibilities of my church by praying for growth, by inviting others to attend, and by warmly welcoming everyone that visits (1 Thess. 1:2; Luke 14:23; Rom. 15:7).
* I will serve the church’s ministry by discovering my gifts and talents, by being equipped by my pastors and teachers, and by developing a servants’ attitude (1 Pet. 4:10; Eph. 4:11-12; Phil. 2:3-7).
* I will support the testimony of my church by attending faithfully, by living a godly life, and by giving regularly and proportionately (Heb. 10:25; Phil. 1:27; Lev. 27:30; Matt. 23:23; 1 Cor. 16:2).
